About Cinémas du Palais Armand-Badéyan:

Founded in 1987, a member of Europa since 1997, Cinémas du Palais Armand-Badéyan is located in Créteil, a suburb of Paris, within an urban community of 120,000 people. Its 3 screens welcome around 300 films - a diverse range of world cinema - per year, attracting around 80,000 cinema goers. The cinema is characterised by a desire to place itself at the heart of the town’s social and urban development. Young people are naturally an important priority.

Borders - 18-21 november 2008:

An alternative cultural cinema project opens up Europe… Cinema using solidarity, reconciliation and promoting cultural diversity. 12 actions realized across 12 European cities: Berlin, Prag, Dole, Libiaz, Krakow, Warsaw, Lisbon, Belfast, Dublin, Sarajevo, Wien, Budapest.

Borders film festival : a selection of films made by the invited European partners and presentation of the Borders’ films shooted by the Borders’ cinema crew in Bosnia in August 2008 (fiction, documentary) in the framework of “2008 European year of intercultural exchanges”;

Borders meeting : one day of working on questions such as “How to build a culture and youth European project, what’s its meaning? What to use? With who? What financial support might be available?” and to develop exchange, think and act. Last year edition, when we commissioned 2 European projects and realised them, first in Dublin and Belfast in February 2007 and then in Sarajevo in August 2007 and 2008. Launch the Borders coordination through the European Borders Tour (how we could build the itinerant festival Borders between November 2008 and April 2009), the new website www.borders-zone.org, and in the future the web TV Borders TV.
